Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chartering Executive to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chartering activities within the shipping industry. They will be responsible for managing chartering operations, negotiating contracts, and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of chartering operations, including negotiating contracts, fixture agreements, and charter party terms.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, shipowners, brokers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and analyze market conditions to identify business opportunities.
- Coordinate vessel schedules and ensure timely and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize vessel utilization and maximize profitability.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on chartering activities and market conditions.
- Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards related to chartering activities.
- Handle any issues or disputes related to chartering operations and ensure prompt resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in chartering operations within the shipping industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and market trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
